ECP-EPN is an independent platform where government, the business community and social institutions meet to exchange knowledge and cooperate to exploit the opportunities that the information society provides and to eliminate possible threats. Various projects, studies and discussions bind these parties and put the social significance of ICT on the agenda of politics, government and the business community. In that way the platform achieves breakthroughs and creates the right preconditions.

Arie van Bellen, Chair of ECP-EPN: “But not everyone can enjoy the benefits that ICT brings. To make that happen we must aim at getting everyone E-Included, and, what is more: avoid the exclusion of certain groups. Our national public program Digivaardig & Digibewust (Digitally skilled & Digitally aware) seeks to decrease the number of people who have no or some digital skills and wants to stimulate the responsible and safe use of digital tools in The Netherlands.”

“My challenge on the WCIT2010 is to make the issue of eInclusion known worldwide, so that countries, governments, organizations and people can learn from each other and together contribute to a better world. Because everybody has the right to participate.”
