About Ms. Haydee S. Sheombar

Haydee currently leads IBMs Smarter Cities strategic business development initiative in the Benelux. She has over fifteen years of consultancy and business development experience in the Distribution-, Industrial- and Semi-Public sectors. Working with some of the major European Distribution and Industrial Companies, advising them in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Organisation (Re)Design & Development, Business Intelligence and CRM Strategy, she has developed an in-depth understanding of these sectors. She has worked as a board room advisor, and led multi-disciplinary international project teams throughout Europe. Her extensive experience with facilitating both internal and B2B collaboration and work on four continents has shaped her ability to bridge cultural and hierarchical gaps. She holds a Master's degree from the TU Delft in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunications) and a PhD in Economics from Tilburg University. Her PhD research at the Erasmus University Rotterdam focused on the impact of ICT on inter-firm collaboration. She was endorsed by her MSc professor during the acquisition of sponsorship from Royal Dutch Telecom for this research. Haydee received post graduate education at various institutions including INSEAD. Among her special interests are eco system dynamics and adaptive organisation design enabled by ICT. Her publications cover the topics of EDI, CRM, partnerships, and (logistics) B2B coordination.
