About Mr. Ivo Gormley

Ivo is Head of Media at thinkpublic. He has directed media and research projects aimed at increasing participation in public services ranging from healthcare and education to social care. He has lead projects for organisations such as the Design Council, the Alzheimer's Society and the Young Foundation and has presented his work internationally.

Ivo has worked in the public sector for four years since graduating with an MA in Social Anthropology. Ivo continues to combine an interest in social innovation with documentary; his 2008 documentary Us Now was broadcast around the world and is being translated into 24 languages, his latest film Playmakers was screened at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival in 2009. Ivo's work has been screened to governments world-wide including the French National Assembly, The Hague, the European Union, The Houses of Parliament (UK) and Washington DC.

Ivo is founder of the social enterprise The Good Gym and is a trustee of
the charity Art Against Knives.
