About Mrs. Mir Wermuth

Dr. Mir Wermuth, born in 1965, is Dean at the School of Communication, Media & Music, INHolland University of Applied Sciences.

Since the beginning of her career Mir Wermuth has been involved in the Information, Communication and Music Sector. She studied Communication Studies at the University of Amsterdam. She has been board member of the Dutch Rock & Pop Institute and participated in the music and media committees of the Raad voor Cultuur (Dutch Council for Culture) . From 2009 until now she is a board member of Stimuleringsfonds voor de Pers (The Netherlands Press Fund) and of Immovator Cross Media Network.

Mir Wermuth published several articles on the influence of African-American music on both black and white youth subcultures.
