About Mr. Rolf Kleef

Rolf Kleef is passionate about online collaboration processes for sustainable development and civil society.

He consults on designing online platforms that empower people to work together on a global scale, in policy discussions, decision-making, knowledge sharing, and coordination of campaigns and projects.

His focus is on free software, social media and open data, and on new organisational models for technology, community-building and public engagement.

He was on the founding team for Oneworld.nl, a now 10 year old civil society platform on international cooperation and sustainability. He designed campaign coordination platforms for APC (Association for Progressive Communications) and Friends of the Earth International, and web-based multi-stakeholder discussions for the UN Convention on Biological Diversity.

Current projects include Natureandpoverty.net, a network of practitioners and organisations working in nature conservation and sustainable livelihoods, coordinated by the IUCN Dutch Committee.
