eGovernment, towards a trusted third party

The digital revolution has caused a paradigm shift in markets and governments. Since the web shifts power to the individual citizen, causing ‘new tribes’, e-government should take the role of trusted third party in order to keep balance between the newly empowered citizens and the government, to avoid a fragmented, trustless society and to ensure the availability of and access to vital social functionalities. To make this possible we need to reposition the government within the current ICT infrastructure.

About Mr. Prof. Frans van der Reep

Frans van der Reep is reflectivepractitioner - known as researcher, trend watcher, writer, regular speaker/wire caster, and entrepreneur. He is a Professor at the Dutch INHolland University of applied sciences, Senior Strategist at Getronics, a Royal KPN company, and holds a number of non-executive board memberships both in the non-profit and profit sector. He has written many papers and a number of books on how the Internet impacts e.g. our lives and work, politics and companies thereby connecting the various business realms of Strategy, Marketing & Sales, HRM, Finance, Innovation, Business Process Management and ICT.
