About Mr. Pier Nabuurs

Pier Nabuurs studied electrical engineering and graduated in telecommunications from Eindhoven Technical University. During many years he held jobs in de management of R&D at Philips and Océ. Later he got different management jobs on Executive level.

In January 2002 he became CEO of KEMA, an international company specialized in high-grade technical energy consultancy and R&D , inspection, testing and certification. Mr. Nabuurs is involved in many discussioms on energysystems of the future.
He was chairman of the Advisory Council for the Technology Platform SmartGrids in the EU. He is member of the Dutch Advisory Committee for Large Research Infrastructures, member of the board of the Knowledge Platform Electromagnetic Fields and Health and member of the Board of Syntens, a Dutch governmental organization for advise to SME's on innovation and member of the Dutch Task force "Intelligent Network".
