The rapidly changing world calls for different ways to manage and distribute information. Dynamic organizations, and local and central authorities specifically, need to rethink their cost structure and organizational processes to be able to embrace changes. A question that is often posed is ‘How do we set up a system that easily handles rapid changes without causing unnecessary disturbance to our users and business processes?’
This question is central in UNIT4 software development. We develop, sell, implement and support business software for the operation, control and optimization of business processes of a broad range of both private and public organizations around the world. UNIT4 employs over 3,500 enthusiastic and professional people spread over 14 European countries and 5 countries outside Europe. From our offices we support customers and partners worldwide.

UNIT4 and WCIT2010
We are proud to contribute to the eGovernment track of WCIT 2010. The worldwide attention for WCIT’s theme Challenges of Change offers us an excellent opportunity to present our company globally. After all we develop, implement and support solutions that help organizations in both the public and commercial sector to deal with such challenges of change.
Our solutions are specifically designed to adapt to changing circumstances. That is why we will contribute to the track: Flexible IT in a Flexible world. Several of our public sector customers will explain how they deal with changes that influence their IT and how they implement these changes using our business software solutions. We will address the costs many organizations face when they have to adapt their system to organizational changes. We will also discuss the pitfalls and hidden costs a process of change often brings about. And we will present our vision on IT’s role in the public sector’s primary processes.
