Entrepreneurship Pavilion

ICT Office, principal host WCIT 2010, and Winkelman & Van Hessen, organization of WCIT 2010 are sponsors of the WCIT 2010 Entrepreneurship Pavilion. This pavilion is dedicated to the SME (Small en Medium) IT companies. They both very much support the presence of SME companies at WCIT 2010 and see them as drivers of innovation. Come and have a look in the pavilion.

'Meeting tomorrows leading ICT firms'
On Thursday May 27th during both coffee and lunch break there will be a F2F matchmaking session in the pavilion. During this matchmaking session you get the opportunity to meet and greet some of the Dutch innovative ICT start-up companies. Find out what new fresh ideas are out and visit the pitch presentations hosted by New Venture (the largest business plan competition in the Netherlands).
 

Workshop: Access to sustainable energy and ICT for the base of the pyramid

In 2007 the massive continent of Africa had only two million fixed broadband subscribers and a stunning 3 billion people still use traditional biomass for cooking. Consequences on the affected populations at the base of the pyramid in terms of health, education, environment, well-being or development are tremendous.

These 2 challenges represent an unique opportunity where ICT and Energy solutions could be combined to achieve bigger impact. This workshop aims to identify opportunities to approach the enormous “bottom of pyramid” and meet the challenges with ICT/Energy solutions. A maximum of 30 delegates can sign in for their participation by sending an email to Nicolas Chevrollier.
